My name’s George Costello and I’m the Founder/CEO. And I’d like to share our story…
In May, 2012 I lost my dream job. I was working for a large corporation that was driven by creative ideas and clever solutions that generated revenue. It’s what I always wanted to do. Eight years after climbing the ladder from Graphic Designer to Art Director, my career (or so I thought) was over in an instant. To add insult to injury, my wife Janine had also lost her job a few weeks prior, and my father was dying. The world felt like it was collapsing. I immediately decided to take control of my creative and business life. Galvanized around this mission, I started my own design firm with a mission to bring my creative, interpersonal, and management skills directly to my Clients. The first iteration of Costello Creative Group was born.
In the seven years since we hung our shingle here in Woodbridge, NJ, we’ve garnered the respect of our business community and won awards from NJ Ad Club, JSPRAA, NJCAMMA, and GDUSA. In addition, I had the honor of being named one of ‘Jersey’s Best Marketing & Communications Professional Under 40’. My commitment to a team-driven approach has led us to where we are today with a group of mission-driven, high-caliber individuals that solve business communication challenges.

George Costello is the Founder/CEO of CCG. His company was founded in May of 2012 after he spent nearly eight years with Firmenich, a leading global flavor & fragrance manufacturer. During that time, he functioned as the Art Director supporting global business segments cross-category with their vast communication needs. This opportunity allowed him to develop a deep industry understanding of their client's needs which ultimately led to the birth of his studio and their unique industry focus.
George always had a strong passion for creative arts. After receiving a BFA in Graphic Design & Visual Communications from Kean University in 2002, where he was part of the Art Honor Society, he began his career as a junior designer for a commercial printer. From there, he spent a brief stint designing packaging for an automotive company before landing his dream job in the flavor and fragrance space. Since the inception of CCG, his business has grown from one to five employees and has won multiple awards for creative excellence from GDUSA, NJCAMMA, Jspraa, and the NJ Ad Club. One of his proudest achievements is the 2017 'Jersey’s Best MarkComm Professionals Under 40' Award which is a welcome addition to his collection of accolades.
In addition to NJ Ad Club, George is also part of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), The NY Marketing Resources Group, Hudson Business Exchange, and Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC). George grew up in Union, NJ, is 39 years old, and currently, resides in Sayreville, NJ. He lives with his lovely wife Janine of six years and their three-year-old son, Deklin. When George is not focused on creativity or spending time with his family, he enjoys reading, working on his business, and playing drums.
Director of Operations
Janine Costello, Director of Operations at CCG, joined our team in 2016. She has over 20 years of small and big-box customer service experience and wore many hats throughout the years. Her experience includes administrative duties, budget allocation, statistics, sales, scheduling, and project management, to name a few.
Today, she provides sound counsel to the Owner/CCO while maintaining complete confidentiality on a range of sensitive topics. She also oversees the day-to-day internal operations in an administrative capacity. Her involvement in long-term business planning includes lead generation, social media, and direct mailings. Some financial functions include accounting, payroll, billing, and performance analyses. Janine ensures inventory of all supplies, assets, and office equipment. She’s in charge of reviewing resume’s, onboarding new hires, HR education, and maintaining state compliance.
On a personal note, the most critical ingredient in Janine’s recipe is Music. At William Paterson University she received her BA in Music in 1996. Always performing, she has been active in musicals, cabaret groups, rock bands, and original music. Through the years she has competed and won several first-place awards for singing and composing, including the Sussex-Warren Arts Foundation Talent Competition and the Champion of the Grill Sussex County Talent Search.
Her most beloved treasure is her son, Deklin, who fills her days with fun and great surprises! She is married to the love of her life, George, and grew up in Sparta, NJ.
Sean McCloskey is the Graphic Designer at George Costello Creative. After beginning work at CCG as an intern in 2014, Sean developed his skills in the field and became a full-time designer with the company a year later. A fellow Kean alumni, Sean graduated after receiving a BFA in Graphic Design in 2015 in addition to his AA in Liberal Arts from Brookdale Community College in 2012.
Sean loves to take a client’s idea through the design process and turn it into something unique and impactful. His favorite projects are those that involve building a brand identity and all of the parts that go into shaping the brand’s distinct image.
Sean currently resides in Old Bridge, NJ with his fiancé. In his downtime, Sean enjoys cooking, binging on Netflix shows, and discovering new music. On the weekends, you'll find him snapping pictures of his growing record collection and sharing them on Instagram for like-minded vinyl enthusiasts.
Crisanne Glasser is the Senior Designer at CCG. She is a driven, forward thinking, and goal oriented graphic designer, who is always seeking out creative ventures and ways to spend her time. A 2015 graduate of Rider University with a degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia Communication, Crisanne marries her passion for design with her love for a clean aesthetic with an edge.
Crisanne has worked in a myriad of industries, including finance, pharmaceutical, entertainment, sports, and music. She specializes in print and web based design and media. Crisanne does not limit herself in scale, tackling products as big as box truck wraps and as small as direct mail flyers. When it comes to web based design, Crisanne does not back down, having previously worked on projects creating early stage UX designs for e-commerce sites and designing and programming portfolio sites for many local creatives. Crisanne’s goal driven personality allows her to tackle many different projects.
Crisanne currently resides in Flemington, NJ, and in her downtime enjoys kickboxing and attending concerts snapping photos of various artists.
Nicholas Keating is a Graphic Designer and the newest member of the team at CCG. A graduate of Kean University, Nicholas received his BFA in Graphic Design: Interactive Advertising in 2019 as well as his AA in Graphic Design from Union County College in 2017 where he has learned how crucial design is to the modern world.
His attention to detail and his hope to inspire individuals has made Nicholas grow a deep appreciation for the field of graphic design. He believes that good design is essential for a better, more attractive world. His vision comes to life through his ever growing skills in illustration, layout, advertising and branding. Understanding that creativity starts at the handshake, Nicholas is driven by great communication between client and designer to produce unique and creative solutions.
Residing in Cranford NJ, Nicholas is always finding good excuses to go outdoors. His downtime activities include hiking wooded paths, relaxing on the beach, photographing beautiful landscapes, and traveling to snow covered mountains to snowboard. He plans to travel the world in search of inspiration for his next design projects.
